Privatisation Agency of Kosovo (PAK) informs the public opinion that the premises of enterprise “Jugodrvo” which has been reported in the media these days that it is located in North Mitrovica constitute a socially-owned property and, as such, is under the legal administration of PAK, in accordance with the provisions of Law on Privatisation Agency of Kosovo (Article 5), as well as the mandate inherited from Kosovo Trust Agency.

The premises in question are an asset of the socially-owned enterprise “Jugodrvo” and have been used to date without a regular lease or agreement with the PAK. In the spirit of cooperation and respecting the laws in force, PAK has offered the current user the opportunity to formalize their use of the premises by signing a contract, thereby enabling the continuation of their activities in line with applicable rules and procedures.

It is important to emphasize that the termination of unauthorized use does not imply a ban on any business, cultural, or informational activity. PAK has no mandate to license or restrict library, educational or commercial activities; rather, it is tasked with the legal administration of socially-owned property, in the equal interest of all citizens, without distinction.

At present, the Agency is awaiting the user's response on whether they wish to sign the contract for the use of the premises. Should the user choose not to continue using the premises, PAK will facilitate and offer full support for the withdrawal of materials and books at any time convenient to them.

PAK reaffirms its commitment to the implementation of the law and transparent administration of socially owned property throughout the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.
